Industrial Spray Dryer
Our industrial spray dryer is designed and constructed to ensure single step transformation of pumpable liquid feed into a particulate dried product. In controlled conditions the liquid is atomised into fine droplets; a massive volume of surface per unit mass is generated resulting in a significantly reduced path for heat and mass transfer. With the effects of evaporation and drying under monitored conditions, particle formation takes place. The size of the particled product depends upon the type and design of the automiser.

Spray drying is inextricably linked to atomisation. We engineer effective atomisation by the following methods

Fluid Bed Dryers
Hi - Tek fluid bed dryers dry wet solid that are fluidisable in either semi - dry or dry state. Feed is distributed into a fluidised layer of particulates. Drying air passes up through the perforated distributor plate and fluidised product layer. Individual particles become suspended in thin air at a given velocity and the product layer behaves as a liquid.

Flash Drying Systems
Hi - Tek flash drying systems generate very high mass transfer rates (Speeds of 4000 ftr/min) so that rapid and continuous drying of particulate solid is instantly done. The Hi - Tek flash drying systems are highly cost efficient, time saving (Product exposure to drying air is normally less than 2 seconds) and effective, particularly in the case of pneumatically conveyable particulate material. The drying systems have low retention time, smaller equipment size and lower outlay. As the dryer has no movable parts, the maintenance cost is lower.
